Learners are expected to conduct themselves in a way that supports learning and teaching and promotes an atmosphere of civility and respect in their interactions with others. Written and verbal aggression and misconduct are prohibited and may result in your removal from our training. Unacceptable conduct is organized into two tiers. By participating in our programs, learners agree to abide by this policy and understand that no further appeal is possible following a decision by our team.

Dress Code: Learners are expected to present and maintain a casual or business-like appearance when attending an online or in-person program.

Tier I Misconduct involves disputing the authority of faculty and/or staff, writing to a team member using aggressive or abusive language, obscene gestures, and arguing persistently with faculty or staff.

  • Tier I Offense Result: Tier I misconduct results in a written or verbal warning to the learner by faculty/staff if the incident is mild and a first offense. The program director will be copied on the warning and provided with the offense report. A repeat of a Tier I offense automatically moves it to a Tier II offense.

Tier II Misconduct involves repeating a Tier I offense or any of the following:

Sexually harassing message(s), threatening, bullying, or attempting to intimidate faculty, staff, and/or participants (including but not limited to the use of gender, racial, ethnic, religious, or sexual slurs). Nudity and lewd behaviors will result in immediate escalation of disciplinary action.

  • Tier II Offense Result: Tier II misconduct results in an electronic letter from the Program Director, who will decide the suitable actions based on the severity of the offense. Depending on the severity of the case, a learner may forfeit their continuing education (CE) hours for the program during which the offense occurred and will be removed from the event. For more serious offenses, a learner may face expulsion from any future training with Grayken TTA, and their user account on the Grayken TTA website at addictiontraining.org may be deactivated.
