Topic: Special Populations
This one-hour course will review current epidemiological trends related to club or party drug consumption for gender and sexuality diverse people. There will be a brief overview of the types and classes of drugs consumed in club and party settings by GSD populations. Signs of intoxication, dependence, withdrawal, and crash will be reviewed as well as harm reduction strategies for patients using club or party drugs from GSD populations. Screening and treatment models will be reviewed with special considerations for culturally responsive strategies for GSD populations.

Topic: Nurse Care Manager Model
This two-hour, virtual course is designed to provide a history of the nurse care manager (NCM) model of office-based addiction treatment, explain how the model increases treatment access, and identify the roles of the nurse manager and interprofessional care team members to sustain the model. Participants will recognize the NCM as an advocate and a source of evidence-based treatment for teams and community partners. Participants will also develop an understanding of workflows to sustain the daily operations of the NCM model.

Topic: CARN and CARN-AP
This training is meant for registered nurses (RNs) working in the addiction field who are interested in becoming certified addiction registered nurses (CARNs). The course is intended to support nurses studying for the certification exam by reviewing test-taking tips and strategies for answering exam questions, including reviewing practice questions, rationales, and associated resources. Individuals should take our exam review course or have the associated knowledge base before taking this test-taking strategies training to maximize the benefits of doing practice questions to prepare for the exam.
