Please join us at our September conference for community-based health care organizations treating substance use disorders. The conference will include discussions of current topics in addiction treatment and offer opportunities to network with colleagues.

Intended audience

This conference is only intended for nurses and medical assistants who work at BSAS/DPH funded OBATs and are providing Medication for Addiction Treatment utilizing the Nurse Care Manager Model. All DPH/BSAS funded STATE OBAT Nurses and Medical Assistants are required to attend.

Objectives

After attending this conference, participants will be able to: understand the context and treatment recommendations for SUD patients with STIs or Hepatitis A, B, or C; appropriately utilize recovery coaches in the addiction care team; understand the relationship between the use of THC, Cannabinoids, inhalants, vaping, and substance use disorders; understand how to improve the continuity of care for incarcerated patients and those otherwise involved with the criminal justice system; and implement strategies to work with patients affected by recent increases in HIV infection and methamphetamine use.
