Description

This training will provide waivered prescribers and their support staff the skills needed to actually implement office-based addiction treatment into an ambulatory practice setting. Additionally, this talk will provide expert, concrete tips to facilitate the provision of care for patients with substance use disorders utilizing medications in their treatment. 

Check-in for the course will run from 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM, and the course will run from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM. 

We will be offering 2.0 continuing education credits for NPs and 1.75 CMEs.

This is not a training to receive your buprenorphine waiver.

This is an in-person training. There will not be an option to attend via webinar.

Intended audience

Prescribers and their support staff treating patients with substance use disorder in an office setting.

Objectives

The learner will: understand the medication induction, stabilitation, and maintenance procedures; learn how to address substance use during treatment and issues of adherence; and understand how to apply this knowledge to support special populations.
