This training will cover a range of evidence-based strategies for initiating buprenorphine treatment within ambulatory care practices. This training will review the medical ethics and tenets of harm reduction and why they are important in expanding the care continuum of people who use drugs and alcohol. It will provide practical examples of how to write and create policies from a harm reduction perspective. It will include the legalities of including harm reduction practices in different healthcare settings and considerations for harm reduction for providers with licenses.
