Topic: Harm Reduction
This training will focus on the sexual health-related risks associated with substance use disorder. The impact of survival sex and sex work on the well-being of both men and women and strategies to reduce violence and infections in this population will be explored. Pharmacological interventions for HIV prevention including nPEP, PrEP, and the concept of U=U will be reviewed. Participants will be able to define STI testing strategies for the SUD provider and treatment considerations for patients on medication for addiction treatment.

Topic: Overdose
This training explores the associations between overdose, stress and trauma, including the impact drug overdoses have on healthcare staff. Healthcare professionals will learn to integrate considerations for overdose-related traumas into patient-care and communication of overdose harms. Healthcare workers will also explore procedures in offering support to other members of healthcare who've experiences a patient drug overdose death.

A drop-in session for recovery coaches to discuss coaching and other topics related to substance use, recovery, and coaching. This group is only open to recovery coaches and peer support specialists - please respect these requirements as this is a dedicated and protected space for those in the field needing support.

Topic: Harm Reduction
This training will review the burden of disease and the impact of alcohol in the United States. It will discuss quit strategies and clinical approaches to reduction in alcohol use. It will also address strategies to reduce harm associated with binge consumption of alcohol. The impact of alcohol on other SUD treatment will be discussed and the use of medications for alcohol use disorder will be reviewed.

This training will focus on cannabis consumption. It will give an overview of the basic science of cannabis and the physiological and pscyhological effects of cannabis consumption. The training will review the risks of cannabis use disorder, plans for screening and early intervention, and strategies for reducing the potential harms related to cannabis consumption.
